Go back in time to when a beach house was a beach house but with a few mod-cons such as an infinity pool are added. As one client puts it “The house and pool have THE most relaxed energy about them and the stars, monkeys and bush babies set in the surround sound of the Indian Ocean and Trade Winds are just heavenly.”

Set on the unspoilt beach of Vipingo it borders the Kiruwitu Marine Park, arguably one of the best marine parks in the world – a little known treasure! So an ideal place for the water lover and snorklers.

The house comfortably sleeps 10-people, and has five en-suite bedrooms, four doubles and one twin.
Three bedrooms are on the ground floor (two doubles and a twin room) and two double rooms on the first floor. There is a huge covered roof terrace which is the perfect spot for some yoga or just afternoon relaxing.

The kitchen is 60’s style in that it is situated in a separate building out the back, however, it is large, airy, fully kitted out and has plenty of fridge and freezer space. Fresh seafood can be brought to the house by the local fishermen and local fruit can be bought to the house by local farmers. Or you can take a trip to Mtwapa where a new, large Tuskeys supermarket is situated, about a 20-30 minute drive away or visit the Tuskeys supermarket in Kilifi.

The chef Sharif does all the cooking. He has a versatile repertoire but specialises in dishes made with locally caught fish. He is happy to step aside if you want to cook, but most people let him do what he does best. By the way, if you like chilli, ask him to make you his secret recipe chilli sauce.
There is a night guard, and househelp, Wycliff, keeps the house clean and tidy.
