LOCATION: The plot is located to the south east of the Shimba Hills National Park approximately 14kms from the main Mombasa-Lunga Lunga tarmac road.  The road to plot from the tarmac road is mostly an all-weather road although can get be precarious in places during the heavy rains.  It is approximately a 40 minutes drive from Diani Beach.

LAY OF THE LAND: The land has plenty of flat area for houses and also hilly parts with a spring and swampy area where there is a well located.  There is a small road running through the middle of the plot.

SOIL: Most of the plot has the Shimba Hills sandy soil and a small part at the southern end turns into more red soil). Note that farming of trees and a number of different plants can still be farmed on the sandy soil such as cashew nuts, coconuts, mango trees, banana, chillies, bixa, eucalyptus, casuarina trees, orange, lime, guava, avocado and more.  There are mature mango, cashew nut, casuarina and Eucalyptus trees on the plot. 

POWER: the plot borders a road with mains power.

WATER: There is a well, approximately 1 metre deep, in a swampy area which still has water even though we have not had much rainfall in 2021. Part of a small stream passes through the side of the plot which eventually ends up in the swampy area with a spring and well.

IMPROVEMENTS: There is a shallow well, approximately 1 metre deep, on the plot in a small swampy area. There is a local farm house that is lived in by the caretaker. There is a fence on the road side of the plot.
